The Radiation Report


Two years after the disaster in Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant, a new report by the World Health Organization suggests that the increased risk of citizens getting cancer is minimal. 

Japan EarthquakeAccording to one of the authors of the report, “[i]t’s more important not to start smoking than having been in Fukushima”.

It is estimated that the increase in cancers will equal approximately one percent in the population.

Is a one percent increase acceptable?
