Seoul Lantern Festival 2011

When fall comes in Seoul, it’s time to head to the Cheongye River with a crème brule latte in hand to admire some of the incredible eye-candy that is the Seoul Lantern Festival. Here’s the night in photos.

Let there be lights…

Seoul “Daemun” (Gate)

Drum, baby, drum.

Parade of Lights

This year’s theme was “tradition”, I’ve been told.

There is no way the sculptor didn’t see what was wrong with this.

I’m ashamed to post a blurry photo, but they were beautiful.

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish?

A night for couples, most certainly.

Yes, a fire-breathing paper lantern. Grand prize winner, if you ask me.
